If you have visited this website before, you may have noticed that the name has changed. 😃
It used to be Learn Dragon Online, but now it is LearnSpeechRecognition.com.
You see, I used to only offer courses and services for Dragon (NaturallySpeaking) speech recognition, but that has recently changed.
Voice Control for Apple
Apple has released their Voice Control feature. That is HUGE!
Now Mac and iPad users have a really useful dictation and voice control feature available, completely for free.
As with all speech recognition software, it takes some getting used to, so I will be offering online courses for Voice Control. Exciting stuff.
Now that I’m also offering non-Dragon courses, it doesn’t make sense for my site to be called Learn Dragon Online. Hence the name change.
For the moment, most of the content of the website will still be geared towards Dragon. As time progresses you’ll see more and more content geared towards dictation on Mac and iPad. Just watch this space!
At this point in time, though, Apple Voice Control is not yet as powerful as Dragon, nor as accurate. For anyone who really depends on dictation and speech commands, Dragon on a Windows PC is still unrivalled.
But watch this short demo of me dictating on my iPad with Voice Control. Ironically I am replying to a comment from a participant in my free Dragon course 🙂
